If you HAVE already installed SubmitEaze on your computer simply restart SubmitEaze and you will be prompted to download the update automatically.

It's that time again! Today,we are proud to unveil for the first time the forthcoming SubmitEaze v7.0!

SubmitEaze 7.0 contains a plethora of new features, many of which have been long requested by users and customers, while other new features will come as a surprise to everyone.

So, to the important bit: what's new in SubmitEaze v7.0?

Answer: Lots. But here, in no particular order, are some highlights...

 

Directory Tagging

You can now create tags which you can, well, tag directories with! As an example, you can create a tag called 'direct submission', and if a directory enables you to access the submission page for direct submission you can tag it. You can then use this tag in the shiny new search facility...

Search

The new search facility enables you to only display directories that meet your specified criteria. So following on from the above example, you can search for directories that you've tagged with 'direct submission' and SubmitEaze will then only display directories that enable you to do direct submissions. Basically, by combining the tag and search capabilities, you can now categorize your directories in as many different ways as you want. Pretty nifty, eh!

Project Briefcase Enhancements

Project briefcase enables you to export entries projects on one computer and then import on another computer. This is used for creating backups, collaborating with co-workers, or if you work on more than one computer. We've added a few enhancements to make this tool even better:

- Multiple projects in one briefcase file - a big time saver if you want to export all of your projects!

- Merge submission statuses. "What on earth is this?!" I hear you cry. Well, lets pretend you're working on submissions with a friend or colleague, and you've both been submitting and setting the statuses on the directories you've submitted to. You decide you want to send your project file to your colleague - but there's a problem; when he/she imports your project it will overwrite their submission statuses - not any more! Project Briefcase will now merge the two sets of submission statuses so your colleague's statuses won't be overwritten.

Category Information

We've added a category information section below the directory lists which displays the total number of directories in the table, the number of directories you've submitted to, how many have been approved, rejected etc.

Improved Directory Import/Export

- If you import a list of URLs without any directory names SubmitEaze will now give the directory a name based on the URL, e.g. http://www.mydirectory.com/ will be given a name 'Mydirectory'.

- Can now select whether to import / export using three formats: CSV, TSV, or colon-separated.

Many minor updates

- Ability to link the title entries to description entries
- Alphabetical category list on 'Add Custom Directory' screen
- Added a new 'Rejected' status
- Renamed the 'verified' status to 'approved'
- Increased directory name field to 50 characters
- Custom auto-fill field entry changed to text area
- Button to hide/display the directory table - results in large browser
- Ability to change/update link title and description entries in project maintenance (done with double-click)
- Store the last selected file path and set as default path the next time file choose is opened
- Extra auto-fill button added to only fill/re-fill the title and description fields
- Mode selection drop-down box, rather than clicking on the image to change submission modes
- Improved web browser functionality:

	Added ctrl-tab hot key to cycle through open tabs
	Added ctrl-w hot key to close the currently selected tab
	Added ctrl-t hot key to open a new browser tab
	Added ctrl-enter hot key to address field to automatically add http://www. and .com
